In the name of the Father.īacaan dibawakan oleh Laurensius Eka dan renungan dibawakan oleh Theresia Anindia Ika Putri dari Gereja Santa Monika, Paroki Serpong, Keuskupan Agung Jakarta. O God almighty, stay always with us so that we are made strong and able to face the challenges and problems of our lives. It’s important for us to get the advice of Saint Peter from his first letter chapter 1 verse 15, that says if we live out truly our baptism by being holy in every word and deed, we are the real houses of God. ![]() Through that baptism we have completely let go of our old bodies and ways of life. The fountain of justification takes the form of our baptism into Christ. This is a form of the pure spring that comes from God and in faith we use it to cleanse ourselves from sins and evils. Jesus also purifies this Church, by bathing her in the water flowing from the power of His word, that it becomes a glorious and holy Church, the mother for all of us.Īs every individual who become the dwelling place of the Lord, we have a duty to always purify ourselves through our obedience to the truth from God, for the sake of the true love among us brothers and sisters in Christ. Every man and woman make up the people of God, namely the holy Church, where God also dwells throughout the ages. We are the houses of God too in which God chooses to dwell in us. God commands us to be pure just like He is always pure. However, we have a more specific significance about keeping the house of God sacred. The Lord Jesus is very clear in His teaching and He wants that the temple of God must be kept purified and sacred, just as Judas Maccabeus and his people who were purifying the temple that had been desecrated and destroyed, following the brutal action of the unbelievers who were against the religion of the Israelites. The temple is a symbol of God's position and existence, to which we direct ourselves to worship Him. This house is a place where God unites and rules all people with His almighty power. This place is commonly known as the temple, the house of God, that for us is a sign of fellowship between God and His people. Our two readings today from the book of Maccabees and the Gospel which we have just heard, speak of the purity or sacredness of God's dwelling place. They removed all anger against each other, and were able to attend Mass that Sunday morning well and happily. The Church and the sacred celebration of the Mass must be attended by its people whose hearts and minds clean from all kinds of anger, hatred and sins." She said in this manner: “Make peace first, because when you enter the church, your hearts and minds must be clean. Their mother approached the two and advised them. At that time, they were getting ready with their parents to go to church and attend the Holy Mass. There were two teenagers, a brother and his sister, quarrelling even to the point of fighting each other on a particular Sunday morning. The theme for our meditation today is: The Sacred House of God. Reading is delivered by Dylan Christian Kosim from the Church of Santo Yakobus Kelapa Gading in Jakarta, Indonesia and meditation is delivered by Sister Maria Fe Silva from the Salesian Sister Community in Sumba Barat Daya, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. ![]()
